Boi
Hallo :) Home
My friends call me Asher.

I'm a 20-year-old gay intersexed boy from Central New York. I live very close to Syracuse University on a huge hill that has handrails.

I am a writer and I paint in watercolors. This spring, I'm planning to begin studying for my Bachelor's degree. I will probably be a fine arts major

I went to a magnet school for creative writing in high school, and will be submitting my first novel for publication within the next two years.

My interests include horses, dogs, music (I compose sacred music and chamber music), biology, physics, mathematics, and anything outdoors. I like hiking and stuff and my boyfriend is going to take me rapelling one of these years.

I run a listserv for upstate New York horsefolk called Upstate Equines which will have an information site available on this site.

I live in a Victorian house which my housemate, Curtis (who is like a father to me-- No, we're not "involved!"), and I have been restoring for almost 2 years. We purchased it through United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).I have three cats and three dogs and would like to have horses someday. Presently my cats are aged 2 years, 4 years, and 5 years; and my dogs 7 months, 2 years, and 3 years. Two of the dogs are large (75 and 100 lbs) and they eat a lot.
I spend much of my time working on websites. Last July, my friend Andrew and I decided to start a positive support organization for intersexuals and our friends and parents. We named it FIRS-- the Foundation for Intersexual Rights and Support-- and I am creating a website for it which should be up and running soon.

Computer programming has been a hobby of mine for several years, and I have a particular taste for HTML as a language. While I created this version of this page with a WYSIWIG editor, I'll eventually write version with completely original code. HTML is neither a difficult language to learn or use-- I would recommend it to anyone interested in web technology.

I am a strong advocate of better education in the arts and science in the United States. Everything I know about art and computers I have taught myself, and my extensive musical education was gained almost entirely outside of the school system. At the arts magnet I attended, I studied creative writing, and I believe the school could be a model for schools everywhere. Small class sizes and attention to individual learning styles made all the difference.

I am also an advocate of basic civil rights for queer, transgendered, and intersexual people. As a whole, the movement for queer equality seeks just that: equality, not "special rights." We seek such rights as the right to marry and to have children-- two of the most basic human desires.
